Nope....Dean got a high percentage at the Golden Spoon than I did....
Dean's report: Here's my Golden Spoon results. I've eaten at 72 out of 288 restaurants at Walt Disney World (25%) I've eaten at 30 out of 106 quick service/counter service restaurants at Walt Disney World (28%) I've eaten at 28 out of 79 table-service restaurants at Walt Disney World (35%) I've eaten at 5 out of 22 signature restaurants at Walt Disney World (23%) I've eaten at 0 out of 3 dinner show restaurants at Walt Disney World (0%) I've eaten at 0 out of 4 dessert parties at Walt Disney World (0%)
My report: I've eaten at 58 out of 269 restaurants at Walt Disney World (22%) I've eaten at 15 out of 97 quick service/counter service restaurants at Walt Disney World (15%) I've eaten at 20 out of 77 table-service restaurants at Walt Disney World (26%) I've eaten at 6 out of 20 signature restaurants at Walt Disney World (30%) I've eaten at 2 out of 3 dinner show restaurants at Walt Disney World (67%)
I didn't include dessert parties or water parks in my counts as we don't go to water parks and made my report prior to dessert parties were created.
wow.....I knew Dean goes there a lot more than you do...that's probably why he scored higher....once my daughter prints that e mail out I can tally up my score and see where I fit in......not first place I am sure!
The highest I have yet to see is 60% completed

I only concern about DVC is that after 25 years, you have to give it back to Disney. I have timeshare that is mine for life....mine, my cousin, my niece/nephew.....whoever I will it to and whoever they will it and etc. It is a deeded property like your house.

I usually start the planning stage a year out. Planning for me is picking time and hopefully getting family to go. I have a Magic maker that handles detail such as resort, tickets, fast pass reservations, ADRs etc

For the big trips we get together at 3months and plan it. We try not to fill it to much, though. Don't like having to rush. plus we split-up on some days.
WE Plan a Big trip each year (2 or 3 bedroom) minimum of 8 of us. Plus about 3 smaller trips throughout year. Never more than 180 days out. some as little as a week.
Good approach!

In general sense, I start planning a year out. For one, I have to plan around my work and make sure I can get people to cover my shift. Two, my wife has very limited vacation so have to make sure she doesn't use all hers up. The clinic my wife used to work had a policy (or wish) of please never take a vacation between Memorial Day and Labor Day. In general, that is the busiest time of the year in the veterinary field so we would always take our vacations outside those holidays.

I like your thinking....sometimes I wake up in the morning and just decide it's a good day to go.....soon I will be able to text you and YOU and ROBIN can do it too.

Always planning! We seem to be on the 3 year plan, so there is plenty of time! Even when there is no trip in sight, I'm reading, learning and sharing about Disney!!
The last couple of years we started planning before leaving the current vacation, usually we were back within 6 months, Now I'm not working, we still plan, we just have to push vacations back a bit. Currently we are planning for October 2017, food and wine.
