Ok, we aren't far from leaving for Disney and my daughter is running out of ideas for Woody, Buzz and the rest of the gang to get into. So far, Woody scared Buzz, they were caught taking naps to rest up for the trip, they played through a hard level of the boys Toy Story game to kill some time, were caught watching a Disney movie, they decided to climb into the tub because Woody said it was time to clean up, find missing body parts (ok, all of Mr Potato head is missing)......can you think of other ways for Woody and the Gang to pass the time until they quietly climb into everyone's suitcases for the trip? Yes, they all go with us on the trip. We plan in adding a Bucket of Soldiers and aliens while we are there.

Pack their suitcases Bake Disney cookies Add last minute plans to DME Hide and seek** Play cards**
** These last two we learned from mousekeeping. We brought my son's wolf toy to Disney and when we came back from the park they were playing cards on the bed, taking a shower, hiding on the ceiling fan, sleeping in the bed & "eating" one of the cookies we had bought as a late night snack earlier that day - even with all the park fun we couldn't wait to see what wolfy was up to.

My daughter and I will slip to car next Saturday and set up the Toy Story gang in the car before the boys load up. We have sign for them to hold. She let me take over the countdown, and I have Mrs Potato Heads babies being lifted to Disney by the claw and are waiting for us at the end of the Toy Story Ride (mostly because we misplaced all of the aliens)! The sign will say, " Hurry Papa! There's no time to lose! Those crazy babies are waiting for us!"

I always told mine as we walked to the car at 2 AM, second star to the right and straight on till morning.
Long drive, 15 hours and we would be in Savannah Georgia for the night. next day 1 1/2 hours we hit Florida.
Always went to the ocean to walk along the shore then to a motel around Daytona to swim.
Next day we headed to Disney, always liked bringing our luggage in while seeing others bringing theirs out. They were going back to reality while we just started our fantasy. Then in a week it was our turn to leave and a very long drive home, always worse than driving down. Disney was over for another year.

Actually, countdowns make it fun and extend the Disney Magic. It's more about that, than anything. Yes, things used to be simpler. But the question at hand is....different ways to get the Toy Story Gang involved or another count down......
