Today, The Walt Disney World Resort opened after Hurricane Irma passed through the area. On the previous post, you can see the hours of operation for all 4 parks. That being said, there are certain rides that will remain closed.

I heard the jungle cruise is n pretty bad shape.. I hope nothing is ruined.
I hope everyone in this forum got through the hurricane ok or with minimal damage. We had Hurricane Sandy destroy us a few years ago and I lost most of my room and had so much damage..
I had a little bit of an adventure just before Irma hit Florida. My mom lives in Delray beach FL, and she normally stays in NJ for the summer and goes back to Florida in October. Her friends all evacuated and the people who were supposedly watching her house and car panicked and left without closing up her condo. I had to fly down with a one-way ticket, put up her hurricane shutters ( she has a 2 floor condo so the second floor has a big deck) and then drive her car back to NJ. It took me almost 12 hours to get out of florida with all the traffic. I almost thought about pulling into Disney and staying there during the storm. but finally the traffic got better.
Good thing , because the parking lot at her place got flooded, so her car would have been trashed. She just needs to choose less panicky friends.

Yesterday, Wednesday September 20th, Disney's Fort Wilderness Resort and Campground reopened. I know there were many articles out there that stated Disney was not planning of reopening the resort and keeping it closed permanently. Well, they are not true. The dining, recreation and resort if back up and running.

We like Trail's End and like going there for breakfast. I am glad they reopened it as it was on our list to stay there in the next year or two.
