Just got back from a surprise vacation, my wife booked a trip to WDW for my 65 birthday, it was a nice surprise and the first time we ever went to WDW in February and March, weather was really nice in the 80's. Got in 8 days of swimming and seeing the beginning of the flower and garden festival which was nice looking at all the color while back home they had snow. Then we return late Tuesday just in time for 26" with drifts over 3'.
Happy birthday and glad you got to enjoy WDW in the winter and enjoy the Flower & Garden Festival

We got back this year for the Flower and Garden Festival, March 2019 The free Tea Tour in the UK is very nice to do, they have 3 in the afternoon and you need to sign up that day. They explain the different teas and how they came about. After, they give each guest a small sample of a tea inside the Tea Caddy. Our tour guide even added a little sarcasm for Lipton and the way Americans say words, all in good fun.
we enjoyed it so much we even signed up on our last day for another, this tour guide was much better than the first.

Since you liked the Tea Tour then you will likely enjoy the Rose & Crown Pub & Dining Room Tea Experience. My wife and I did it when we were there during the Food & Wine Festival and greatly enjoyed it. It does cost, however; at $30.00 a person but we thought that was a very reasonable price for what we got.
You get to try four different types of "teas", since herbal is not really a tea. After you try the first two, they give you tea sandwiches to try with the two teas and the same repeats after the second two "teas". They explain the proper way to let tea steep depending on the tea you are drinking. My wife can only do decaf tea and they accommodated her with no problems. They also taught us how to make decaf tea from regular caffeinated tea; which suits both her and I.
We greatly enjoyed it and recommend it to anyone that loves teas or wants to learn more about teas.

Thanks for the information Rich, we never paid attention to this offer, but will look into it hopefully this fall.
Fried Green Tomatoes - I have tried this dish and never could understand why people rave about it. last summer we cooked up 3 different recipes and again I could not understand what the rave was about. So, this past March we were at the Flower and Garden Festival and saw they were serving Fried Green Tomatoes at the Arbor Gardeners Terrace which is a new kitchen for this years festival and is located in the Odyssey. I figured give it another try and was very pleased, it was delicious (I actually had it twice). Plus, the added bonus is to be inside the Odyssey which was closed for so many years. The atmosphere inside was also quiet on each visit which is a nice thing when the park is packed.

I am glad to hear that you got to try one that you liked. I learned from my wife who says "not all green tomatoes make good fried green tomatoes". I, like you, am not a fan of fried green tomatoes until I tried it at one of the local restaurants during our restaurant week. I have been told by that chef that it all depends on the variety of green tomatoes used and the style of cooking.

Well that makes sense, thanks for letting me know and I won't try to make them again this summer.
