It was announced on July 27, 2018 by WDW News Today that Disney’s Acquisition of Fox Approved by shareholders from Disney and 21st Century Fox approved Disney acquisition of Fox. Both shareholder meetings were held at the New York Hilton and concluded in under 15 minutes.
Now that shareholders have approved the purchase, the deal will be locked in, but not finalized. There will still be a lot of regulatory approval needed around the world before the two companies become one.
The US Government has already given its approval of the purchase, but with the wide reach of the two companies, other countries will need to be worked with.
Disney and Fox expect the purchase to be finalized by mid-2019. FOX, Fox News, the Regional Sports Networks of Fox, and other assets are not included in the $71.3 billion purchase.

Maybe Disney can get better announcers for Sunday football and ax some of those dull ones they have now.

I remember back in the 60's when people would watch the game on tv, turn the sound down all the way and listen to the radio announcers who were much better. This gives me an idea for the Fall, I still have radios.
I totally agree with you briarrose, some announcers are so bad they make statements just to hear themselves talk.
