My family and I really liked the old "Spoodles" the menu was great and the sangria was awesome. It was never crazy crowded and the service was always good. Then they had the Kat Cora experiment that failed , followed by the new Trattorio Al Forno, which is not bad , but its just not Spoodles.
I'm thinking Spoodles was at the boardwalk because that is where Kat Cora and Trattorio are or were. I also remember you liked the Beach Club and taking pictures of your twins in front of the butterfly topiary. I asked my daughter and she remembers it out the back door heading toward Cresant Lake.
Last weeks vacation at WDW was canceled at the last minute due to the flight being canceled, I so wish to be down there you have no idea.

Bryan, found these old restaurant cards today with Spoodles thought you may like to see them.
How about the original Hollywood and Vine Cafeteria of the Stars? It looked the same but was a counter service if my memory serves me correctly. Our first time at MGM we had breakfast there, it was really nice with a 50's atmosphere and all the chrome shining. It was always nice to find a place to eat without the large crowds.
We totally enjoyed Hollywood & Vine on our first experience at MGM, then when it changed to a Character meal years later, we really enjoyed the lunchtime meal, got us out of the hot sun and great food.
