Just as a Devil's Advocate here, prices do go up when things are added. But look at the man power, bus maintenance, fuel, etc for the extra service. Then throw in insurance to cover when things go wrong or visitors get slack. (When the Free services are added, remember that they are never really free.). But, if something is added as an add on....and worth it to a visitor, then go for it. If not, then don't. I like to think of our Disney trip as "All inclusive" hybrid with add ons. We decided on the Magic My Way package and then what extras are really worth it to us as a family. This service really doesn't mean a lot to us now, because we don't park hop.
I wish that little extras like this were bonuses for coming to the park or just for adding a hopper to the ticket, but I can understand why they can't and it's ok.
I COMPLETELY agree!!!!

You are correct Missybee, but we are getting off the subject before I'm reminded again LOL
Lol....But, not really. Just explaining the charge for what some (even on other sites) deem as a "freebie". The earlier posts in this feed were talking of prices and weighing if they were actually worth it. There are very few who understand that adding this Park to Park Service has to be paid for some way and some how.....I personally would rather people who want it pay for it instead of tacking on more money to my vacation for it.

An update on this Express (Park-to-Park) Transportation...
Starting today, Annual Passholders will be able to purchase an Express Transportation Summer Pass. This pass will be on sale until July 31st and will cost $59.00 per guest. The pass allows unlimited services of this park-to-park transportation between now and August 10th.
To give you a rough comparison, if you are a guest (non-passholder) and have a hopper option on your ticket, you can purchase an Express Transportation ticket for $19.00 for a day or $29.00 for a week. Remember from earlier in this thread, this transportation allows you to leave one park (while still in that park) and travel and enter another park without having to go through security checkpoint or the main entrance to the park.

This service will be discontinued as of August 23, 2017
Rich, they are doing away with the buses? We have actually contemplated using taxi's the past few years, we are not big fans of the bus transportation.
Like everything it's the money that keeps us using the buses and as little as we have to. Oh well, I can't complain if they do.

No. The normal bus transportation is still there. This service they are cancelling is the Express Park-to-Park bus service. If you remember that if you go from park-to-park, you have to go through security check at each gate and through the main entrance at each park. This service bypassed both of those things by picking you up at a specific meeting point within the one park (over by Walt Disney's Carousel of Progress at MK or by Tower of Terror at HS for example). This express service only worked for those guests with the "Hopper Option".
The regular Walt Disney World Bus Transportation Service is still there and available for use. If you don't like the bus service, maybe you should give the new Lift "Minnie Van" Service a try. It is $20 no matter how many people are in the vehicle, is operated by Disney and drivers are CM and requires no tipping. Click on this link to read more about the Minnie Vans.

My friends just used this service and they really liked it. Very convenient and they didn't mind the cost. Saved them a ton of time and when you are on a short trip, time is valuable...

Thanks Byran, we are seriously thinking of using this, especially on a ride back from the parks, if this is allowed.
My one daughter will be there in 10 days for her first time without mom and dad.
She will be the tour guide for her fiancée who has never been to Disney.

Mike, I have bad news as this Magic Express Park-to-Park transportation as already ended. So you won't be able to use this service when you go. I think you might be a little confused between this service and the Minnie Van. Since you post in Magic Express Park-to-Park transportation, are you "seriously thinking" about using this or Minnie Van? To find out more and complete info on Minnie Van visit this link Disney Lyft
