Pvtim do you live in FL? You are more than welcome to meet up with us and crawl around Epcot....
LOL.....if you were to click on his profile, which allows you to follow him, it shows that he is from New Jersey.
Yes - I live in New Jersey! My lovely wife is a teacher and my son is still in school so I am relegated to Summer visits to Disney.
I would love to crawl Epcot with you all, attend food and wine, do the holiday parties and see Disney on my Birthday - but alas I am forced to leave them on my bucket list until my Wife's retirement. In the meantime, I will live vicariously through you guys and dream!
At least I get a dole whip every summer so I got that going for me!

I remember those times well. My aunt and uncle were teachers so when I was younger, most of my WDW trips with the whole family was during summer breaks. Even now with my cousin having two girls, we all only get together during school breaks.
No worries....I am sure we will all have a drink FOR you.
Prior: Offsite most every other years from 1972 - 2000

I love the Food & Wine festival but I don't all the people that go just for drinking. If I was going to pay $109 or whatever the price increase will be, drinking all day would be a waste of my money. I can do that at home or at the local wine bar for A LOT less. I understand trying the different foods as that would be cheaper to do at the festival than driving around town and eating at the all the different cuisine restaurants. I just don't get spending a day at Epcot when there is so much more to see and do than just sit around and get drunk!!!!!!

It all depends on how you work food and wine festival. I'm going this year for the first time. I have read up (and going with some veteran foodies) on how to appropriately do it. It's going to be more a gathering of friends enjoying each other's company. And now that I know how to sample drinks and pair foods, I can't wait! Do people over indulge? Of course. There should be a way of controllling it, but there isn't.

Missybee, I hope you have a great time this being your first, there are so many nice food kitchens to try, we go every year and have our favorites. Unfortunately they change the menu from year to year on some great ones. My wife is booking for October this year.
bigwdwfan, I know exactly how you feel about drunks, they ruin the atmosphere and the good times for everyone. I drink beer in EPCOT and sometimes wine, but no way do I get drunk, I know when to stop and best of all I am not driving anywhere afterwards. I have witnessed security walking drunks out, I can only hope they don't let them drive anywhere.

I stand corrected...John does not want to be the hydratior....he drinking with us....
No problem
Maybe I will be the hydrator, I may be down there when you are all there. Of course I only drink beer or wine but will have no problem telling you to drink water. lol
As long as you don't mind me catching up to you from time to time. We don't just drink our way around the world.
