Isn't she a princess in the movies? Ok, it's been a while since I've watched them....but, the Disney Prinesses have that "cookie cutter" look....and are based for the most part (forgive me Doc and Cathie) on animated characters. Except for Pocahontas. But, Princess Leia was played by, well a real actress in the modern era. I mean, yes, it could be done and doesn't bother me either way....but, a meet and greet would be different for the Carrie Fisher/Princess Leia fans. But then again, it might not make that much of a difference in the Star Wars fans...

She is a qualified Princess, I agree. She is heroic, has a sad backstory and has a person she falls in love with. All the basic properties of a Disney Princess. Mulan and Merida might be a little tougher than her, but she is right there with the heroic princesses...
