Ok, now that I have your attention....sometimes while in the parks, visitors have the tendency to "push, push, push". The thoughts of actually getting the family back in the bus and going back to the resort for that ideal nap, just isnt going to work. I would like to suggest finding a nice bench or other comfortable place to sit, a special snack or treat that you thought wouldn't fit into your schedule and watch the world go by.....at least for 15 or 20 minutes. Talk about your day, what everyone liked or maybe,if you feel a drop of pixie dust in the air....belt out your favorite Disney song. You might even make a friend while sitting there relaxing.
And just every now and then.....Tink might give you the ability while people watching, to spread a little Disney magic to another fellow visitor who could use it.

People watching with a good cup of coffee and a churro is a must for us.

On hot sunny days in EPCOT (Japan)(which is almost everyday in Florida), we usually get a Tokyo Sunset from the little stand just beyond the koi pond and then sit in the shade against the Mitsukoshi store, not as much people watching since it is out of the way, but relaxing and cool.
I love to people watch too but why do people (females) have to wear yoga pants or whatever they call them. It makes it look like they aren't wearing any pants. I don't care how young or old you are or how skinny or overweight you are, those things are indecent to wear in public. I don't want to know whether you have on underwear or not. JUST COVER UP!!!

SO funny! Be careful what you say...it may come back to haunt you! A couple towns away from mine a guy made a comment like that and the women in the area organized a parade and they all wore yoga pants and marched through town!

I am laughing- this is a great post topic -
People watching is a fun way to pass the time.
Many times I am at the parks earlier than my family so I have to wait for them at certain spots-
Here are my favorites-
Magic Kingdom is the best for this- 1.) the top floor of Columbia Harbour House - you can watch people from above as you have your lunch- its pretty cool to see the people hustling as they go bye. 2.) On a bench right before the entrance to Adventureland. Nice and quiet but you can view all over 3.) On Main street up on the train level - looking down on everyone coming in or leaving..
I like to see when men wear dark dress socks with sandals...that always amazes me- if you are wearing socks, why wear sandals? and why dress socks? especially argyle ones... It never fails, you can always see a bunch of them.

Okay, I have no idea why they would wear dark socks with sandals. But since I suffer from foot problems which has baffled doctors and I now gave up on them. I change socks a lot, some days the black ones feel better than the white, some days I wear thicker socks for cushion, but I never wear sandals, they would kill my feet.
So if you see someone limping along then finding a place to sit and change socks come say hello, it's probably me. LOL

I totally have seen BUNCHES of men wearing socks and sandals...looks silly....but dress socks would be the worst!
second star to the right and straight on till morning
What is amazing is when I was young, I always thought it was just an older generation that did this. Now it seems that as each generation gets older they do the same thing and always black socks. Maybe like me the straps hurt their feet and the dress socks help. I can't afford to take the chance and find out it doesn't work.
Lol....Fashion Statements don't have to make sense!
with that can you imagine walking into EPCOT and every man is wearing sandals and black socks? LOL of course except for me, I'm wearing black socks and sneakers. LOL

There is something sweet about the socks and sandals. As I always tell my Sunday School class, "We are all going to get old one day." Fashion statements are in the eye of the beholder. If you are comfortable with what you wear on your tootsies, especially black socks, (although I think white would be better in the hot sun), I say "Go for it!" I am sure people chuckle at me when I wear my do-rag. I don't ride a motorcycle, but it keeps my head cool in the hot sun.

Briarrose, that is great you teach Sunday School, my oldest daughter got involved when she was finished with religion classes by helping younger children learn their prayers. She also helped the instructor with the lessons and I just came across the church's anniversary book with her picture teaching the children along with my other 2 children's pictures. My mom is now reading the book which I need to make sure she still has it.
oh boy, she has a tendency to donate books.
I'm already old and I find it funny that it continues with each generation.
Keep your head cool, that is what matters.

This is hilarious, I know I get put off by socks and sandals, but just 5 minutes ago, one of my daughters came bye and had sandals with socks...She told me I was outdated and not in line with fashion... So I guess everybody has their own fashion and as long as they like it, then its the best way to go !!
