Probably one of the cheapest tours WDW offers and if you are gardener on any scale, then this tour is for you!!!!
My wife totally loves this tour and tries to go every time we are at WDW. The cast members recommend you book this tour in advance but we have stopped by the tour desk (which is in The Land Pavilion across from the entrance to Soarin') in the morning shortly after Epcot has open and still gotten a tour for later in the day. If you are staying on Disney property and interested in this tour, check with the resort front desk before you leave for the park about getting a tour that day. We have done that too and gotten the first tour.
This tour takes you behind the scene of the greenhouse and tells you how they control bug and grow those wonderful veggies you see on Living With The Land and eat at the Garden Grill. They also introduce you to an up close and personal look at hydroponics and how you can make a hydroponic system (or an aquaponic system if you want to grow fish) at home. It is a great tour for all ages especially if you are gardener or interested in growing you own food.
Prior: Offsite most every other years from 1972 - 2000
Most recent: Offsite 2001 & 2003 / ASM 2006 / Offsite 2009 / Poly 2011 / POR 2013 / CR 2014 / GF 2015 / DS Hotel 2017 / BC 2017 / POR 2018

Okay, on the other thread I mentioned I would be doing aquaponic's this summer, no I'm not, I will be doing Hydroponic's, (no fish) along with my regular gardens.
This was our first and only tour (Sept 2017) which I have tried to get on for years, I do not like the idea of booking days in advance and having to cancel (not sure now if it's 1 or 2 days) or be charged for it. I never know how I will be feeling days in advance so we would always go there in the morning and it was booked. Didn't want to book for later in the day because I may not have been able to get back there and again lose the money.
It is a nice tour and people can learn a lot from it, We wouldn't do it again due to the extra expense and yes it is the cheapest.
