Construction At Caribbean Beach Resort

After a few articles and calling the park, this is what I found out on the construction at Caribbean Beach. It looks like the current construction is located at the Trinidad area, closing down the QS and one of the pools. Anyone affected by the construction will be receiving gift cards as a perk. The major construction will begin May 1st.
According to disneyparks.disney.go.com/blog/2017/02/more-guest-experiences-and-dining-options-coming-to-disneys-coronado-springs-and-caribbean-beach-resorts/,laughingplace.com and two wonderful cast members I talked to in the phone:
"Disney's Caribbean Beach Resort- Trinindad South Village Pool closed 1/6/2017- 3/16/2017. Several refurbishment projects in Trinidad South through 3/16/17 Work will not begin until 9AM. The resort will be undergoing many refurbishment projects starting mid May 2017 for 2 years. Several villages within the resort will not be available. Old Port Royale Food Court, Shutters at Old Port Royale, Cabana Pool Bar and Calypso Trading Post will be closed starting 5/2017- through 2018. There will be a variety of dining options available for breakfast, lunch and dinner. Centertown will serve breakfast and dinner and a selection of grab-and-go meals will be conveniently available for purchase in three island markets located in the Aruba, Jamaica and Martinique regions of the Resort."
To help make up for the inconvenience that this may cause WDW is
"Giving a $75 Disney Gift Card per room for each night of stay upon check-in at Disney’s Caribbean Beach Resort. If you were previously offered a $25 Disney Gift Card per room for each night of your stay, this will replace that offer. This gift card can be used at participating Walt Disney World Resort Food & Beverage and Merchandise locations. For complete terms and conditions please visit DisneyGiftCard.com."
