My wife and I like to watch from behind the castle near SDMT. There are very few people there and most of the fireworks break overnight. We have been able to watch them all from there. The down side would be that you don't get to see the front of the castle and if they do anything one the castle. For us, we are ok with missing that and being in the "hub"

I've got a couple of spots I like to watch from.....one is with my back to the train station right by the wall so when they are over we can tiurn and exit the park.....but if I am planning to stick around, the newly developed grassy areas in front of both Caseys Corners and the other side of Main Street offer lots of nice spots that the kids can relax on the grass and not have to stand up until they actually start
second star to the right and straight on till morning
