Observations: Woody's lunch box: Great quick service food. Totchos were great and I am glad to have had the Monte Cristo (before it was discontinued). Some of the theming and touches were ingenious! Streetmosphere: Fantastic! The Green Army Men are even better and really got the crowds engaged. If you see them they are worth the momentary distraction. Midway Mania: The que got even better and Mr Potato Head is funnier than ever! Aliens Swirling Saucers: It is Fun - the whip is more intense than you think, but the spin is mild. It is a great balance for a ride. Slinky Dog Dash: Was great!!! It is more intense than just a kiddie coaster, but not too bad. There are a few zero-g points that really make it fun. Currently the views into Star Wars Galaxies Edge are amazing as well.
Overall: It is amazing that you can walk right up to the rides and get that close. The theming is great!!! IT IS HOT!!!!!! There is next to no shade and the only air is at Midway Mania - so prepare accordingly. It has a whole different feel at night - try to experience it both ways! There is only one entrance/exit so it gets congested there. Overall they did really well, we went there three times and rode everything multiple times. Enjoy it!
Your comment about no shade seems to be a repeating comment. It's not like Disney is new at this and doesn't know how to plan for the Florida sun.
Thank you for the review.

I'm with you on the Florida Sun issue, amazing they didn't put something up to protect the guests waiting in lines.
There is some shade, and they have fans up...BUT there are hook-ups for other fans (that are not there- almost like they didn't order enough) and many of the fans were not even working.
I also use a cooling towel for those summer trips, and when I went to refresh it in the restroom- the sinks were running out hot water - I tried all of them!
There is just little escape from the heat. The restaurant is outdoors, most of the rides/ques are outdoors & the merchandise is all on carts - the only air conditioned respite is Midway Mania or the restroom.
The daytime visits were hit the fastpass/ see the Green Army Men and then bolt out of there. The night was when we lingered around and truly soaked it in.
We totally enjoyed the new Toy Story Land, just taking in the way they made everything look like Andy built it out of whatever he had laying around was fantastic. Woody's Lunch Box was okay, they are trying to keep the lines moving but it is only so big. Slinky Dog was fantastic, did it with my daughter 3 times, thank God for fast pass which got us into the line up close to the loading area. The people behind us were from the standby line, so I asked how long they were waiting and they said 1 1/2 hours. That is terrible to think about it. The standby line was over 2 hours most days and stretched almost to the Commissary one day. The Alien Saucer Spin looked like a very smooth ride, the saucer seems to leave each circle smoothly as it is transferred to the next circle. I rode it once and the transfer is not smooth, I felt what seemed to be gears that were not meeting correctly. That is only my experience, I'm sure most guest would not even notice this upon transfer. The swirl is smooth and for the most part a nice ride.

Hoping to get back and experience Toy Story Land at night. We couldn't do it the last trip. I'm sure the Christmas lights that Andy hung look great when lit.

My daughter went to Toy Story Land a few months ago. She loved the nighttime fun.

While sitting on one of the popsicle benches in Toy Story Land my wife and I noticed on the pavement darker lines that made "X's". It wasn't until people moved away and we could see Andy's Sneaker Foot Print. These are throughout this land like Andy was walking around. It's amazing what the imaginers come up with and my wife and I are always trying to find new ones.

I highly recommend to see Toy Story Land at dusk, if you can book a fast pass for Slinky Dog or the Saucers it will be much nicer than during the day. Slinky Dog's track lights up and the saucers have the beams of light coming down. Even if you just walk in to see it you will notice the change from day to night.
Toy Story 4 opens in theaters today and Disney posted a video of 100 lucky fans that got to see a preview of the movie and got a big surprise..
Stars of the film, including Tom Hanks as Woody, Tim Allen as Buzz Lightyear, Annie Potts as Bo Peep, Tony Hale as Forky, Christina Hendricks as Gabby Gabby, and Keanu Reeves as Duke Caboom, made an unforgettable surprise appearance after the screening. They were joined by director Josh Cooley, and producers Mark Nielsen and Jonas Rivera.
The day of play continued with dinner and exclusive after-hours time in Toy Story Land for fun and photos with the toys including Buzz Lightyear, Woody, Bo Peep and a special one-time appearance by Bonnie’s beloved new craft-project-turned-toy, Forky.
To celebrate the release of Toy Story 4, Disney released a video of "Must-Do's" while at Toy Story Land.
Here’s a closer look at guest favorite experiences at Toy Story Land:
Alien Swirling Saucers – Designed to look like a toy from Pizza Planet, guests at Toy Story Land can take a spin on this exciting attraction where adorable little green aliens swirl about in their flying saucers with guests in tow in their rocket ship toys – while “The Claw” hangs overhead.
Slinky Dog Dash – As many of you know, Slinky Dog Dash is a family coaster themed as if Andy built it in his backyard using his Mega Coaster Play Kit and some other favorite toys, including Jessie and Rex! The attraction’s ride vehicles – inspired by the character of Slinky in the film – send riders dipping, dodging and dashing around turns.
Woody’s Lunch Box – Woody’s Lunch Box dishes up all sorts of sandwiches and sides that blend classic flavor combinations with a modern twist, plus nostalgic soda floats and specialty beverages.
Toy Story Mania – Guests take off on this exhilarating 4D arcade attraction starring all of Andy’s toys! During each ride, you board a carnival-inspired tram and use your spring-action shooter to take your best shot at an array of moving targets. You can compete with other players for the highest score on all the fast-paced games.
Character Greetings – And at Toy Story Land, some of Andy’s favorite toys are playing in his backyard—and making new friends. You can say howdy to Sheriff Woody, yodel a hello to Jessie the Cowgirl and show Buzz Lightyear your best Space Ranger salute. Also, Bo Peep from “Toy Story 4” is now greeting guests.
Back on May 2, 2019 under the 30th Anniversary of Disney's Hollywood Studios, I had posted about a new restaurant coming to Toy Story Land. Here is that post (to bring it to this board):
New Toy Story Land Restaurant:
There’s a brand-new table-service restaurant coming to Toy Story Land at Disney’s Hollywood Studios. Upon entering Andy’s back yard, guests are magically transformed to the size of a toy, surrounded by toys and playsets scattered throughout the area. And soon, guests will discover that a new play area has been set up – and this time, it’s a rodeo! But of course, being Andy, it certainly isn’t your usual rodeo…
Using three cardboard boxes cut and taped together, Andy has created a new rodeo arena using some of his favorite toys, games, and play sets. And while some pieces are definitely western-themed, what makes this rodeo special is the broad assortment of toys that have been brought together to create a fun, colorful mashup-atmosphere that only a child could create.
Once inside, you’ll be surrounded by all of the rodeo festivities in-action as well as western town and train station play sets. And you just might spot some of your favorite Disney•Pixar characters scattered throughout the restaurant in the form of toys and game pieces including a toy version of Jessie riding on the back of a Trixie pull-toy and unique toy versions of Bo Peep and her sheep, all who appear to be performing in the rodeo together.
This immersive restaurant will surround guests with a kaleidoscope of toys, games, and playsets, providing yet another unique, fun, family-friendly dining experience that could only be had in Toy Story Land.
There are reports circulating that construction for this new restaurant began over the weekend but Disney has not official confirmed such reports. Also, Disney hasn't announced the opening of Roundup Rodeo BBQ table service restaurant.
