I'll have to let the kids know. They did Morimotos on our March trip and loved it. I don't really care for sushi. I like Steak and Lobster. Shula's steakhouse is on my list for later this summer.
We've eaten at Shula's in NYC. The lobster bisque is heaven! My family loves the cowboy steaks...I prefer filet mignon. I am not a fan of sushi, but the kids are. I am anxious to try Morimoto.
Briar if you like filet....you HAVE to go to LeCellier in Epcot ....Canada.....hands down the best

Sorry Cathie but I have to disagree with you on LeCellier, main ingredient is salt. Hopefully they will change that for all the complaining I've done.
Last September we didn't even eat the meal it was so salty and will never do it again. Enjoy, make sure you take your blood pressure meds.
I decided to edit my above comment........I know the majority of guest enjoy LeCellier that is why it is so hard to reserve.
The atmosphere is very nice, but we have had the worst servers both times we had reservations. After our first we decided to avoid this place and at that time it was only 1 meal plan. Then we decided to try it again and it was always booked. Then we finally got it last Sept. and just like the first experience, server, salt, over cooked meat, no...................we will not try for 3 strikes, Mama didn't raise any fools.
We must just be the unlucky guests who get the worst server, over salted meat and over cooked meat.

I know this thread is about Sushi not steak at Le Cellier but...
Did you know that to grill any good cut of meat you first let it sit at room temperature for 5 - 10 minutes and season it with salt and/or pepper? Ask any good, famous or restaurant owner chef and they will tell you the same thing. The salt is to help keep the juices in the meat at it cooks. If you want unsalted meat, then ask for a dry cooked meat.

Rich, I know all about the seasoning of meat, okay maybe not everything, but I do know that all meat seasoning uses way too much salt. We stopped using salt at home now going on 30 years so we taste any amount that is on the food. Stopping was our choice due to my family's history of heart attacks and high blood pressure. The only men who lived to the 80's or 90's were drinkers, they also died of heart attacks, so I drink, I think it's a good excuse. Now back to Le Cellier, we did ask for the filet's with no salt, the server who had an attitude for some reason said the meat was already seasoned and it was too late. I would bet she added more on purpose it was so bad. I know people really like Le Cellier, it is always booked.

Sorry to hear about the family history!
I agree with you that she probably added more on purpose. In most restaurants that I know chefs or have watched, it is not seasoned until the customer orders the steaks just in case they ask for low salt. So, the meat isn't already seasoned most of the time or if it is, there are usually steaks on the side with no seasoning for those that ask for it that way. So, it sounds like your server was an idiot and probably made the situation worse.
Sorry to hear that too.

I will admit that I have never eaten at Le Cellier and have been hesitant because I have heard both ends of the spectrum, similar to this thread. For those of you that have eaten there, have you also eaten at the Yachtsman? I have eaten there and it was one of the top 3 steaks I have every had in my life with amazing service. Thanks in advance!

We have not eaten at the Yachtsman. Prior to our last trip, we talked to a lot people and several cast members and they all say the same thing...."The two best steakhouses on property at Le Cellier and Yachtsman but they wouldn't recommend one over another." Personally, we haven't eaten at the Yachtsman because we typically/rarely adventure to the Yacht Club or Boardwalk Resorts. We have eaten several times at Le Cellier and love it.
You are correct. You will read/hear both good and bad review about most restaurants on WDW. Remember reviews are one's opinion based on expectations, experience, choice of meals, and other around them (wait staff, other guests, etc..).

Yes the Yachtsman is excellent, we have never experienced any problems at that restaurant and always look forward to eating there.

I have eaten twice at Yachtsman.....if I am going to eat beef it's going to be the top of the line.....I have equally enjoyed Yachtsman and LeCellier.....my ex husband was Canadian so I'm a bit more drawn to that restaurant for nostalgia....good question though!

That is on my list of restaurants for next time. I have read so many wonderful things about LeCellier. I must have had a brain freeze for not trying it when I was there.

I agree with the other posts , both Le Cellier and Yachtsman are terrific. I would give a 1% nod to Le Cellier because of the other extras ( Pretzel bread and cheese soup) but Yachtsman has some tremendous veggies and less traffic . One note to throw a wrench in - my boss took me to Shula's in the Dolphin resort. The steak was awesome there too.
The funny thing is that you have 3 amazing steak restaurants within walking distance of each other. You can literally leave Le Cellier and be at Yachtman with a 10 minute casual walk and then to Shula's in about 7 minutes more. That is pretty cool. (*Disclaimer - you do need to go through the turnstile in Epcot , but that entrance is never really crowded, especially for the exit.
