I saw this article from ABC Action News (click on the link to know more) ...
The last person you would expect to steal from a mother and her family in Walt Disney World would be another mother traveling with her child, but that was apparently what transpired on April 15th. Spring Hill resident Michelle Craig has been charged with theft, and it appears the purpose was to sell the stolen stroller online.
Lauren Collazo and her family were on a ride in Disney’s Hollywood Studios when they returned to find the $1,800 Bugaboo stroller missing. The stroller also happened to contain underneath it car keys, wallets, and her niece’s Epi-Pen. ABC Action News Skyped with Collazo, who told them, “I was there with no money, stranded. My husband had to fly over from Miami that same day, catch the first flight available to rescue me and my family.”
Of being victimized at Disney, Collazo said, “It was the fact that she took it away from me the day that I needed it the most and ruined everybody’s day at Disney.”
A surveillance photo links Craig to the crime, using her young daughter as an accomplice. An arrest warrant was issued by Orange County for Craig, who turned herself in to the Hernando County Sheriff’s Office on Wednesday. She will face Grand Theft charges.
Thanks to this story going viral, Collazo was able to obtain her stroller. Mrs. Collazo was contacted by a woman from Texas who had purchased the stroller from Craig off her Facebook page.
Callazo recounted, “She’s like ‘Oh my God, it still has the clips on it, it still has the tie wraps where your name was on it, do you recognize it?’ I’m like absolutely.”
What is your reaction???

Crime is about opportunity. Some locations provide better opportunity then others. If someone is going to steal from someone else, they lack the personal respect to care about where they are.
Anybody can have the notion to steal, even a mother. Looks can be deceiving. She is disgusting and a horrible example to her children. Shame on her!
My daughter told me about this tonight as it was all over social media which I am not a part of.....it's a shame. I can't tell you the times I've left even purchases in my grandsons stroller while we went on a ride.
second star to the right and straight on till morning
They are now recommending bike chain locks for the back wheels of strollers on one news show. It will at least slow someone down and if someone is dragging a stroller....there's an issue! I know it wouldn't take much to cut one off, but I for one, would probably tell a CM if I saw someone doing it.

I can't believe the CM will be happy about strollers locked up since they are instructed to keep moving and consolidating the areas where strollers are parked.....can't people just behave?

Apparently not. I have always felt safe about leaving my stroller and everything in the "catch basket". But, I wouldn't leave a wallet, money or anything like it in a stroller. I take my license and a cc in my small backpack. It goes on pretty mush every ride with me. And if it can't, I put my cards in my pocket. And also, I always look where strollers are parked and if I'm not sure, I ask a CM where is an appropriate place to park.

I dropped my wallet one time while riding a bike near the Boardwalk resort- someone found it and returned it with everything inside. That is what I would expect from a Disney crowd, and i would do the same.
but this does not seem to be the norm anymore and that is beyond Disney, society is alot different..

you are so lucky.
My daughter found some one's park hopper passes and turned them in at our resort (Polynesian) they asked for her name and I thought someone would have the decency to at least say thank you, but no they did not. This was before all the computer ability to cancel tickets. and when tickets were good for ever.

To be honest, they owner of the tickets might not have known who turned them in. Just because one CM asked a name, doesn't mean the next CM knew who to tell the owners to thank. A good deed is a good deed, no matter what.

Okay Cathie, now how did you know it was Ashley not Sharon?
hahaha, it was Ashley.
Thanks Missybee, I didn't think of that.
We were blessed with our children, they listened to us and followed our rules, no drugs or alcohol. One time Libby and Joe went shopping for luggage and when they got to the car they realized the cashier did not charge them for one. Joe insisted they go back and pay for it which they did.
then he said that God was happy they did that, this is from a person in his 20's. And I get the blame because I made him go to church when he was young. Oh well, I'll take the blame.
