Disney just announced today that there will two new restaurants coming to Disney Springs and both are to open in 2018.
First, there will be a new Wolfgang Puck restaurant. I know, I know. "Wait he already has 3 restaurants scattered throughout Disney Springs?!" There is Wolfgang Puck Grand Cafe, The Express at Wolfgang Puck Grand Cafe, The Dining Room at Wolfgang Puck Grand Cafe (all located on Disney Springs West Side) and Wolfgang Puck Express at Disney Spring's Marketplace. Well, Wolfgang Puck Grand Cafe and The Express at Grand Cafe will be closing on August 1, 2017. The new restaurant will be called Wolfgang Puck Bar & Grill and will be located in Town Center next door to Coca-Cola and across from Planet Hollywood. The restaurant will be similar to his flagship restaurant in Los Angeles called Spago. It will feature Wolfgang Puck's signature dishes with Mediterranean influences along with comfort food classics and specialty cocktails, wine and beer.
So.....why are closing Wolfgang Puck Grand Cafe? What is going there?
Well, that brings us to the second new restaurant. This restaurant is called Jaleo after world-renown chef and owner of ThinkFoodGroup Jose Andres. This restaurant will occupy the space currently taken by Wolfgang Puck Grand Cafe. Jose Andres owns four other restaurants - 1 in Las Vegas, 1 in Mexico City and 3 near and around Washington D.C. Jaleo will bring the spirit and flavors of Spain in a tapas-style menu featuring the traditional and contemporary Spanish cuisine. So far, the concept is that the first floor with an express of Spanish-style sandwiches while the upper floors with be the regular restaurant.
