I'm with you on that Doc. I'm torn between thinking this a adorable and a young girl's dream, to how heavy is this thing and how easy is it to park?? I know there are very few hills at Disney, but there are some inclines....

As a Gramma of a Princess I would do this if they were coming down during a quieter time at Disney....when I know it's not normally so packed....but I agree, sounds a bit dangerous to maneuver

I called the Cinderella Carriage place to get information for my family and this is what a represenative told me- you get picked up at your resort by a Chauffeur, who rolls out a red carpet and helps get your princess in the vehicle. The chauffeur's vehicle can accommodate 5 to 6 people. Others are asked to follow. They deliver to the Magic Kingdom. The rep said that they also deliver to MGM and EPCOT, but that is not advertised. The carriage holds up to two children and the price includes taxes, fee, etc and is $250 a day

Again, doubt I will be doing this unless it's on a special day that a park would be emptier.....next time my granddaughter will be down is Sept but we are doing Disney cruise and the next Sept we are staying a week at AK Lodge.....so "maybe" if she and Milo aren't too big

I think for that price they could offer the carriage with the real horses that they use for the weddings to pull you around the park.

Doc we checked into that for when Sara got married at Disney....just to go in the horse drawn carriage from the wedding to GF to the reception was crazy nuts!

Of course the real horse-drawn carriage is only for the weddings at GF. The only time they allow the real carriage in MK is for parades and photo shoots. So, there was no chance of getting Sara into the park on the real horse-drawn carriage. I mentioned it because I thought for $250 a pop for the mini-carriage Disney could at least include some horses to pull it around instead of relying on people to push to it and bump into or push over other people. Horses would at least be more trained on how to move the carriage through crowds that a lot of moms I have seen at WDW.

With padding and sensor alarms...I knew someone who got clipped from behind with a stroller. Down he went with a snapped achilles tendon. He said that he never experienced such pain in his life.

My Quarter/Appolosa horse threw me and then tripped and fell on me. I think I would rather have a tired parent pushing a carriage any day!

True....a tired not-watching-where-they-are-going too-many-things-on-their-plate parent versus a half ton horse.

Oh yeah doc I knew what you meant....it was just adding that for her wedding it was crazy nuts....if you have seen the Wedding Pavillion at the Grand Floridian and then the reception hall just on the other side of the mail GF building....it's not hardly far enough to NEED a horse drawn carriage....it's more the "idea" she loves Cinderella....but I said not going to happen to this princess....lol
