This morning, Chairman and CEO of The Walt Disney Company Robert Iger met with Emmanuel Macron, President of France, to announce a multi-year expansion plan for Disneyland Paris.

This 2 billion euro project underscores The Walt Disney Company's commitment to the long-term success of our resort, and is one of the most ambitious development projects at Disneyland Paris since its opening in 1992.

The plan will roll out in phases and will transform the Walt Disney Studios Park, adding three new areas based on Marvel, Frozen and Star Wars™, along with multiple new attractions and live entertainment experiences.

The new areas will infuse some of Disney's most popular stories and characters into the resort, building upon the success of our 25th Anniversary.

I like that. It shows that Disney actually has big plans for the park and hopefully that with these plans, the excitement for Disneyland Paris is return and increase. You will have to let us know how things go and what further announcements they make.

I did think it was curious that the announcement was made by the President of Euro Disney since my understanding was that when The Walt Disney Company took the park completely over and away from Euro Disney that Euro Disney dissolved itself.

No drwadalli Euro Disney is not dissolved. It's a company ruled according to the French business laws for social things or taxes. But the difference since last october 2017 is that all its shares belong to an American Company called The Walt Disney Company. There are not any longer minority shareholders like I was myself since March 1994. So it's normal that Catherine Powell announces for this French company what has been told to her by Bob Iger who is his upper manager. Is it clear ?

As for the investment in the Walt Disney Studios (the half second park of Disneyland Paris), from what I have understood by watching the artists maps published.
-First : closures of Tramtour behind the Magic replaced by a lake. Closure of Moteurs actions. And maybe closures Of Cinemagic, Armageddon, and maybe Aeorosmith but I'm not sure.
-Second . around the lake, where they could make the same show as in the Animal Kingdom, they put an attraction called Frozen (La Reine des Neiges) on the right and another one called Star Wars on the left. Moteur Actions (a stunt attraction that existed for a while in the Hollywood Studios) will be demolished and replaced by a Marvel theme attraction.
So we have to make a balance sheet between what is closed and what is added.
As now there are almost no place in this small half park to protect oneself when the weather is bad, the new attractions could bring restaurants and protected areas like in the first park called Disneyland Park.
If I learn more, I will tell you.
