For those of you that don't like that Frozen has taken over Norway, well not to worry but relief is on the way. I remember when it was first announced the Frozen was moving into the Norway Pavilion back in September 2014. I personally didn't like the idea of Frozen coming to Epcot. I thought (and still believe some) that Epcot was more for adults and it was nice that it was the only park not swamped with Disney characters. I become even more disappointed when Disney announced that it was expanding the Norway Pavilion to add more Frozen with the Elsa and Anna Meet-n-Greet. Then came the taking over of taking over of the Stave Church by Frozen in which "Norsk Kultur: Inspiration for Disney 'Frozen'" continued as part of the Frozen Ever After additions to the Norway Pavilion.

Well.....I am now VERY happy to announce that Frozen is leaving the Stave Church. The current "Norsk Kultur: Inspiration for Disney 'Frozen'" will close March 12, 2018 and work then beginning on the new "Gods of the Vikings" display.
Inside the Stave Church, guests will learn more about the popular Viking gods Thor, Odin, Freyja and Loki through displays of authentic Viking artifacts.

I love Viking history and look forward to the exhibit. I still miss Maelstrom.

The Kringlea Bakeri Og Kafe is now closed, they were trying to open a temporary Kitchen along the lake to sell the baked goods and sandwiches. From what I heard was they were waiting for the permits and at present (February 26)selling a limited variety at the beer stand.
This was a nice place to sit and enjoy the club sandwich (always asked for it to be toasted).
I believe they are remodeling the bakery and making it larger, we saw engineers measuring how far into the covered seating area it will be. Sure hope they make this bigger also and not eliminate it, it was a nice place to rest out of the sun while eating.

Disney Parks Blog announced yesterday that the Stave Church Gallery in the Norway Pavilion will showcase a brand-new exhibit called “Gods of the Vikings.”

Celebrating the legendary Norse gods and goddesses that inspired the ancient Vikings of Scandinavia in their daily lives, guests can stop in to learn more about the popular Viking gods Thor, Odin, Freyja, and Loki through displays of authentic Viking artifacts.

Historically, Norse gods and goddesses were as real and as important to the Vikings as the air they breathed. Through this exhibit, guests will discover how Norse mythology helped the Vikings live their lives and understand the world around them.

This is something I should have posted some time ago when they finally finished the Frozen Ride.
It's a terrible ride, they took the Maelstrom ride down and all they did was change the scenery, the bumpy boat ride is the same. the boat still bangs into the sides just like the old ride did.
All the time it took them and they could have made it smoother, it could have been put on rails, no need for water. Also the scenery is sparse, this could have been much better also.
And the line for the ride is still a long one.
