We stayed once at the Port Orleans - Riverside (alligator bayou side). It was quiet and away from the main building. We were able to take a water taxi to Disney Springs (Downtown Disney at the time), go to our favorite restaurant (Raglan Road) and catch a bus to just about everywhere. My wife and I have been talking about going back and staying at other Moderate Resorts but we don't know which others to try.
What is your favorite Moderate Resort and why?
Thank you ahead of time.
Prior: Offsite most every other years from 1972 - 2000
Most recent: Offsite 2001 & 2003 / ASM 2006 / Offsite 2009 / Poly 2011 / POR 2013 / CR 2014 / GF 2015 / DS Hotel 2017 / BC 2017 / POR 2018
Unfortunately Disney doesn't have as many moderate resorts as I think they should......but either of the Port Orleans are good....their resort restaurants both have unique New Orleans food that you might like to try for something different.....I have stayed at both and found them to be smaller, so much cozier feel to them......for some reason not as loud....maybe that's also cuz they are smaller. I have stayed at Carribean Resort and like it for the outside activities you can do...the kids loved a sand beach but wonder with the whole alligator thing if they have closed that off too.....lol.....the pirate ship in the sand was a fun playground but knowing you don't have kids the bike trail is nice as well as the little surrey ride around you can do with Neda. I have yet to stay at Coronado Springs but good friends did and loved the pool and outdoor bar area.....said it was quite a relaxing place....they never did a park that trip so didn't mind it was a bit off the beaten path. I LOVE BOARDWALK....think that's moderate.....it's my favorite place to be able to walk to Epcot and always try to get a room there during food and wine so it's easy to get back to the room after drinking....oh and sure eating

I have been to New Orleans several times and really Creole cooking. Maybe we can try Boardwalk one time and see how that it.
Have not eaten BoardwLks restaurant since always stay there when it's food and wine and therefore been eating over at Epcot so no need to eat at Resort

Trattoria Al Forno and Big River Grille are the 2 we've been to multiple times along with Belle Vue Lounge and Boardwalk Joes for a magical star cocktail, But Boardwalk is a Deluxe Resort. I have been told Coronado Springs is a good Moderate resort with Deluxe characteristics.
