We ate the The Chef's Table last December and totally loved it. The experience of watching the chefs, the conversation of talking to the chefs and getting an insight into a chef's mind, and enjoying the food were all exceptional. I would like to treat my wife to V&A again but not The Chef's Table. She is very much into the Victorian time period and was interested in dining in the Queen Victoria Room.
Does anyone have an opinion or thought about what is was like to dine in the Queen Victoria Room?
Would it be a let-down after doing The Chef's Table??

It is well worth the experience. We ordered one wine pairing and shared the glasses. The Sous Chef mentioned that he wish more people/couples would do that instead of each getting the wining pairing. He told him that we weren't sure if that was allowed. He said absolutely and they want us to enjoy and remember the experience and being drunk, you can't do that. I posed a question on another board if it was ok to only get one wine pairing. I got a 50/50 response that yes it is ok or that I was cheating the system. After talking to the Sous Chef, I can tell you it is NOT cheating the system and is actually recommended among the chefs. So, If you ever do The Chef's Table get one wine pairing as well.
