With Star Wars: Galaxy's Edge open soon, Disney will be leasing "Know Before You Go" videos to help guest see that most out of this new land. First of all, Disney had previously announced that there will be NO STANDBY LINES to Star Wars: Galaxy's Edge between May 31st and June 23rd.
So, here is the first video of "Know Before You Go":
This was posted yesterday on Disney Parks Blog about getting reservations for Star Wars: Galaxy's Edge.
"If you are planning to visit Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge at the Disneyland Resort between May 31 and June 23, 2019, a reservation and theme park admission are required. There is no additional cost to make a reservation, but reservations are subject to availability."
Specific details on how to make reservations will be available on the Disney Parks Blog and Disneyland.com on May 2, 2019 at 8:00 a.m. P.T. You must have a Disney Account to register for a reservation so be sure to create one before registration opens at 10:00 a.m. P.T.
Guests looking to guarantee a reservation to Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge today can get one by staying at a Disneyland Resort hotel between May 31 and June 23, 2019. Click here to book your stay or call (714) 520-5060 now!
*Guests staying at a Disneyland Resort hotel between May 31 and June 23, 2019 will receive a designated reservation to access Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge during their stay. Access to certain experiences in the land are subject to capacity and other factors. Additional restrictions apply.
I also found an announcement of Blog Mickey that Disney has started to send out emails to guests staying at a Disneyland Resort hotels, detailing their Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge reservation period. Among other things, Disney is listing a four hour time period for guests to explore Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge.. Guests will be required to leave Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge at the end of their time window.
As a reminder, guests will receive a single entry into the land for one day during their vacation, not all days of their vacation. A reservation is guaranteed for guests staying at one of the three Disneyland Resort hotels.
I was getting to post how to get reservations for Star Wars: Galaxy's Edge at Disneyland Park but I went to Disney Park Blog to see what they had to say. This is what I saw there...

Early in the week, Blog Mickey reported which dining locations would be getting mobile order when the land opens, and what limitations there will be when you mobile order on the planet of Batuu.
The restaurants that will support mobile order are Docking Bay 7, Ronto Roasters, and the Milk Stand. That means that you’ll be able to mobile order everything from Blue Milk to Moof Juice, Oven Roasted Burra Fish to Felucian Garden Spread, and everything in between.
As for the logistics, Disneyland will geofence mobile orders so you can only place an order from within Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge. Disney will use GPS tech to ensure that guests aren’t on Main Street USA when placing their orders. The fact that guests must have a reservation to enter the land when it opens would make it impossible for guests who try to mobile order from outside of the land to get their food without a reservation.
Guests looking to get the first ever alcoholic beverages served in Disneyland won’t be able to mobile order. All guests must order in person at Oga’s Cantina and they won’t be able to take the drinks outside of the establishment.
Also not on the list is Kat Saka’s Kettle popcorn stand. Guests will be able to find kettle popcorn here as well as the thermal detonator Coca-Cola bottles that the internet was buzzing about last month.
Guests visiting Star Wars: Galaxy's Edge between May 31st and June 23rd will have 4 hours to roam around the land with their reservations. But how will Disneyland enforce this 4-hour window???
According to an article published yesterday in The Orange County Register, Disney has that figured out. The following is the article:
"Disneyland expects that four hours will be enough time for most visitors to explore Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge during the initial reservation-only period and that scoundrels who overstay their welcome will be dealt with by a squadron of stormtroopers.
Disneyland will restrict visitors with free Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge reservations to a 4-hour time limit during an initial “soft opening” period of the highly anticipated new themed land at the Anaheim theme park.
Star Wars fans hoping to explore Galaxy’s Edge between May 31 and June 23 will need to secure a reservation in order to get into the land. No reservations will be needed to enter Galaxy’s Edge beginning June 24.
Disneyland will issue colored wristbands to visitors during the reservation-only period for each of the four-hour windows. Newly-admitted Galaxy’s Edge visitors will mix in with those already in the land much like the Halloween events at Disneyland.
After each four-hour window ends, Disneyland employees may turn away visitors with expired wristbands attempting to enter the Millennium Falcon: Smugglers Run attraction, Oga’s Cantina cocktail lounge, Docking Bay 7 restaurant and the Savi’s Workshop and Droid Depot experiential shops.
“At a certain point, if we have to, then we’ll start to ask them to leave the land,” said Disneyland vice president Kris Theiler.
Disneyland expects that most visitors will find four hours to be more than enough time to explore the new 14-acre Star Wars land.
“Four hours is a long time in the land,” Theiler said. “Most guests are going to find that they’re ready to roll after four hours.”
Stragglers will be dealt with by the First Order stormtroopers patrolling the land.
“We’ll be utilizing the troopers to help us, for sure,” Theiler joked.
The reservation system has been designed to manage crowds and minimize wait times while keeping the land below capacity.
“It will be an awesome time to visit the land,” Theiler said.
The goal is to keep the wait times for Smugglers Run under two hours, Theiler said. Accommodations will be made if the attraction should experience any downtime.
The wait time for Smugglers Run will balloon if everybody entering Galaxy’s Edge heads straight for the attraction. Disney hopes to disperse visitors throughout the land during the reservation-only period and persuade riders to postpone their journey on Smugglers Run until the second or third hour of their visit when wait times will be less.
“We want to try and make sure that people aren’t spending the whole time standing in the queue,” Theiler said.
At the same time, Disney doesn’t want riders waiting until the last minute of their four-hour window to get in line for Smugglers Run.
“We want each group to feel like they had an awesome experience,” Theiler said."
It was mentioned earlier that Star Wars: Galaxy's Edge will be by reservation only between May 31st and June 23rd. So what happens after June 23rd?? How will Disney control the crowds of guests that want to visit Star Wars: Galaxy's Edge??
"Starting June 24, Disneyland visitors who want to explore the 14-acre Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge will need to log into the Disneyland app to secure a “boarding pass” in a virtual queuing system designed to manage crowds in the new land at the Anaheim theme park.
No advanced reservations will be needed to enter Galaxy’s Edge beginning June 24, but visitors will need to secure a “boarding pass” to get into the new land.
Push notifications will be sent to Disneyland visitors when it’s time for their boarding group to enter Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge. Kiosks throughout the park will issue paper boarding passes to visitors not using the smartphone app.
The goal is to allow visitors to explore Disneyland attractions, restaurants and shops while waiting to experience Galaxy’s Edge without having to stand in long line to enter the new land. Visitors will have two hours to show up for their Galaxy’s Edge boarding pass entry after receiving their push notification. You must be inside the park to select a Galaxy’s Edge boarding group using the Disneyland app. There will be no time limit on how long visitors may spend in Galaxy’s Edge.
Early morning visitors will be able to head directly into the land without securing a boarding pass with the virtual queuing system. A status bar in the Disneyland app will notify visitors when Galaxy’s Edge is full and boarding passes are required. Late night visitors may also find that boarding passes are not required to enter the land.
Disneyland plans to stop using the virtual queuing system as soon as crowds dissipate."
