ust got back from WDW temps in the 90's nice and warm. The EPCOT back entrance will be changed, they are currently doing this, on our stay they changed it 3 times in a week. From the information we got, the guests using the gondola's will be going through Security before getting on. This will eliminate the Back Entrance to EPCOT being bombarded with more guests. They now have moved the security to the area before the boats, the boats have their own security and the ticket and guest service is in a new building before these. See Pictures. This has relieved my mind of waiting on long lines trying to get into EPCOT. This is not permanent, they are still constructing the area.

The red areas are construction zones that are currently blocked from guests. The blue square is where the security checkpoint currently is, with the green square being the temporary park entrance.

Just prior to the opening of Disney Skyliner, the new International Gateway opened. Disney is still finishing some fine-tuning in this area as some of the scrub-construction walls are still up but the new security / bag check area is open and the new entry area is open. You can see this in the following pictures (courtesy of Blog Mickey).
The new ticketing and Guest Relations window that have been under construction is now open at Epcot’s International Gateway. Take a look at the photos of this new ticket area (courtesy of Blog Mickey).
