I agree. I too have heard reports that the crowds at Disneyland Resort for SW:GE haven't been as big as they initially thought. Yes, they had a huge crowd for opening day and when it was by reservation only but since then, the crowds have been less than anticipated.

I think Disney is afraid the same will happen when it comes to SW:GE at WDW so therefore, they had pushed out these discounts when originally everyone was thinking there would be no fall discounts due to the opening of SW:GE. Maybe, this is a way for Disney to try to "guarantee" large crowds for a couple of months following the opening of SW:GE.

Yeah, even when GE was full of people, the overall crowds at Disneyland was not good, everything was a 10-15 minute wait at the most.

At WDW they ussualy launch this free dining promotions on April or May for the fall, giving the fact they're releasing this so late, makes me think (or confirms what I heard) that the occupancy at the resorts is not only "not as expected" but I would even think LOW, cause I don't thnk they would release discounts if only 20% of the rooms were unreserved, for them to lose % of money they might be facing a pretty unbooked period for the moment they expected to be all filled with people.

Maybe we're coming to that point were we Disney fans are saying "It's enough" and they would have to rethink theymoney dragging policies...?

Oh boy do I completely agree!!!!

Also, I have seen recent pics from within the parks and they don't look very busy. MK pictures with crowds similar to the 90's. Epcot pictures with like no crowds. Maybe it's the very hot temperatures. Maybe it's the fact that people are getting tired of Disney "nickle and diming" everything.
