At D23 Expo 2019, Disney announced that Disneyland Paris will be keeping multiple expansions that they grouped under the name "Project Firefly". Here is a list of some of the expansions coming to Disneyland Paris:
Disney Village:
The Disney Village is getting a complete refurbishment by way of an extensive renovation and expansion plan. The entire shopping, dining, and entertainment complex will be undergoing a full-on redesign as part of the expansion in hopes of improving on overall guest experience as well as creating newer, more coherent shopping opportunities within the region. The Disney Village lake will also reportedly be filled in at some point to add more capacity for restaurants and shops.
Avengers Campus:
This expansion is very similar to the happening at Disneyland Park at Disneyland Resort in California and is expected to open in 2021.
Walt Disney Studios Park:
2023 will see the expansion of Walt Disney Studios Park continue, with a 3-hectare lake is set to become the new leisure hub of the park. It will be fitted with the latest technologies to provide water-based spectacles, complete with fountains, music and lights, and special effects for a brand-new lake show.
An area inspired by the beloved animated feature Frozen will become the beacon of the park’s extension, with a re-creation of the famous port of Arendelle at the base of a 40 meter-high mountain. The popular Frozen Ever After ride from Epcot is expected to be built here in some way, shape, or form.
These areas and the lagoon will mark the official publicized relaunch of the park in 2023.
In 2025, fans of Star Wars will get to live their own adventure in an area dedicated to a galaxy far, far away. The Star Wars land planned for Disneyland Paris will be “a complete experience featuring not only a major attraction, but a dining location, shops and character encounter opportunities”. In other words, it won’t be the full Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge that has been constructed at the U.S. Disney Parks.
