Back in July 2019, I had posted in the Magic Kingdom board that all the parks at the Walt Disney World Resort are getting new or re-designed entrances. Some of the new designs will include new walkway, new transportation loading and unloading areas, and new security checkpoints.
I found some information on the entrance to Disney's Animal Kingdom Theme Park dating back to February 2019. Let's start with what the bus loop and tram loop currently look like (see below picture):
According to WDW News Today, below is a picture of the entire scope of the project. Not only will the project involve the main gate and the bus and tram loops but it will also include some work on the large pond near Osceola Parkway and some work around the park's toll plaza.

The main project area will be involving the main entrance and transportation loops. The green area, in the picture below, is the area that will be revamped. You can make out a green looped area just south of the arrow look like it might be the new tram drop-off area since it appears to connect to the tram roadway.

Blog Mickey has shown off this area more in their picture (see below). The white area adjacent to the bus loop will be the new tram loop and drop-off area; you can even make out the tram boarding lanes that the guests will wait in. It appears that the tram drop-off area will be pushed back about 300 feet or so further from the main entrance to the park.

The blue structure in second WDW News Today picture appears to be the new security/bag check point, which is the location of the current tram drop-off area. There also appears to be a couple of new smaller structures built and a couple of new gates installed. Blog Mickey has marked these areas in the following picture:
The blue appears to be where the new bag check area will be. The red and green circles appears to new gates as it looks like there are two sets of double swinging doors. The yellow circles appears to be building or some type of structures since each has a single set of double swinging doors.
