Hong Kong Disneyland has been making preparations for reopening. Temperature screening tents and social distancing markers similar to those seen at Shanghai Disneyland were installed recently. But now, it appears Hong Kong Disneyland is imminently set to be the second Disney park to reopen!
According to @hkdl_of_fantasy on Twitter, Hong Kong Disneyland has begun Cast Member soft openings to train on the new safety procedures that have been put in place to keep guests and Cast Members safe when the park reopens. The soft opening period was May 19th through May 21st.
Hong Kong Disneyland has not announced a reopening date, but similar Cast Member testing occurred in the few weeks leading up to the Shanghai Disneyland reopening.
Back on July 15, 2020, Hong Kong Disneyland closed for a second time after there was a spike in new COVID-19 cases seen after the park originally reopened. Now...Hong Kong Disneyland Park has officially reopened Sep 25 with reduced capacity, health and safety measures and a visit reservation system for all guests. All guests entering the park are required to undergo temperature screening and wear face masks.
