Just imagine how the opening day will be when they finally open back up. We all missed the original opening unless some of you were very lucky to attend. But, just imagine it will be another fantastic opening for those lucky enough to be there this time. I only hope they can super impose Walt telling everyone "welcome to the Happiest Place on Earth" like he did with the original opening.
I spend my days just remembering the good times we have enjoyed, I go through the bins of past trips and enjoy them all over again.
I urge our forum members to do the same, relax as much as you can, it will help your day to be happier.
Each night we watch a Disney Movie to get away to happier places. The last couple of nights have been the older animated movies like Snow White and Lady and the Tramp. When we decide which to watch we usually remember the pictures in Walt's Dream at the Studios to help our decision making. It would be great if Disney brought back the "Wonderful World of Disney" so a whole new generation can enjoy watching the man who brought us all this joy. It would definitely help the older generation relive the times again.
When WDW reopens, my thoughts are they will open the Magic Kingdom first, the reason would be, it was the first park and I feel most people think of the Magic Kingdom as special. Does anyone have their own idea as to which park will be first, second, third and forth?
When I started to think about the reopening, I just took it for granted all the parks would open at the same time like you are.
But, after further thought, Epcot could not open the countries anytime soon, or only open parts which wouldn't make any sense. Future World was already 1/2 closed due to construction and they recently sent all the workers from the other countries back home. International flights may not happen for awhile.
Animal Kingdom will be ready, since the animals are being taken care of during this pandemic, Studios will only need to make sure the rides are safe after sitting for so long.
I do hope things get back to somewhat normal soon. I keep thinking of the carousal of progress song.
I can't wait to walk through the tunnel (under the RR) and see Main Street USA again. Such a nice memory to remember until that day arrives. When leaving on our last day, we always turn back and say goodbye until the next time. This we keep remembering and on the next visit, it is so nice to walk out and there it is.
Disney Parks Blog has just announced that Disney Springs will be reopening as part of Phase 1 reopening for the state on May 20 at Walt Disney World.

A phased reopening of Disney Springs will begin on May 20. Following the guidance of government and health officials, a limited number of shopping and dining experiences that are owned by third-party operating participants will begin to open during this initial phase. The rest of Walt Disney World Resort will remain closed, including theme parks and resort hotels.
As Disney continues to monitor conditions, and with the health of guests and Disney cast members at the forefront of planning, Disney Springs is making several operational changes. Disney Springs will begin to reopen in a way that incorporates enhanced safety measures, including increased cleaning procedures, the use of appropriate face coverings by both cast members and guests, limited-contact guest services and additional safety training for cast members.
Disney will apply learnings and ideas from leaders in the health and travel industries, and the company is in talks with the unions to prepare for some cast members to return to work.
During the initial opening phase, Disney Springs will have limitations on capacity, parking and operating hours. Additional protocols and procedures may be announced closer to the opening date. Additional information will be released on the Disney Springs website regarding the most current information on operating hours, locations and safety procedures as the May 20 date nears.

I'm sure most of us look back at our happy days in WDW, I do so many times each week, take out old pamphlets and remember the good old days which were only a few months ago. We thought this would have been gone by now and everything would be back to normal. We hoped to be there this October, actually had big plans, it will be our 45 year anniversary. Now, just trying to stay safe while the pandemic has started to increase around us once again. Best wishes to everyone out there.

Stay safe and healthy.
Congrats on your anniversary. We were suppose to be down there last month camping at Fort Wilderness (a new adventure for us at WDW) but had to cancel. We are so looking for the time when we can go down again.
Prior: Offsite most every other years from 1972 - 2000
Most recent: Offsite 2001 & 2003 / ASM 2006 / Offsite 2009 / Poly 2011 / POR 2013 / CR 2014 / GF 2015 / DS Hotel 2017 / BC 2017 / POR 2018
Sorry to hear of your cancelation and totally understand and I'm sure most of us are looking forward to being at WDW once again. Keep up your spirits and the brighter future that will eventually come. Just to see Mickey and Minnie skipping along hand in hand once again and seeing the smiles on all the young children. It will happen again.
