If you are looking for a nice hearty meal like grandma used to make (or you wish grandma used to make), you need to stop in and give Liberty Tree Tavern's Patriot's Platter a try. It is a menu option for lunch, but is the fixed price dinner in the afternoon. It includes:Roasted turkey breast,sliced prime rib, carved pot roast,mashed potatoes, seasonal veggies, herbed stuffing and a house Mac and cheese that will keep the youngest picky eater in your group happy. Don't forget to save room for dessert! It is Johnny Appleseed bread pudding, which is a warm bread pudding , apple compote topped with a creme anglaise.

For DW and I, This was more like a Quick service to us. Not that it was bad, just kind of an attempt at a thanksgiving dinner. We cook so we're tough critics. They didn't have any prime rib. Robin is allergic to wheat, all that was done was to tell her what she couldn't have,,,DUH. Like she wouldn't know. Anything already covered with gravy, no stuffing, no mac and cheese,and almost every dessert. It's not on our list for return. Too many other restaurants to eat at.

It was one of the places my grandsons really liked and actually ate what was on their plates. We haven't been to a lot of restaurants at WDW, and arent as serious foodies as some. But, we always try to remember the places they like, just in case we want to revisit. Now probably when we come back for Food and Wine, the trip will be more adult focused, as far as food goes.

Are u writing their menu for them? Sounds like even I am tempted to eat there!

I think for allergies that's why quick service places are not my first choice unless it's to get a salad.....at the ADR point you can list a guest has allergies to whatever and as soon as you are seated the server asks if the allergy person is still in the seating and then the chef comes out.....LOVE that

I'm so glad you told us how to handle the gluten free diet. Aiden eating the wrong thing can ruin a day.

. I had some inspiration....and it was the one place I was afraid the boys were going to lick the plates....at 5 & 6 yrs old!

We love going to Liberty Tree Tavern. The comfort food is delicious! It feels like home.
