A few years ago, my wife would check for discounts on her email and I would on mine. This worked fine, sometimes she got deals and sometimes I would get deals. They would send them either email or mail. All for trying to get the best on Disney.
Then, for some reason, I wouldn't be put on my wife's vacation because I had a separate account. We still have to call to straighten the booking out each year.
I no longer try to find a special deal on my email, I use hers until we get this fixed. The Mouse knows everything.

We had that problem in the past prior to MyDisneyExperience App and when the app came out, we only have the app on my phone and have my wife as a friend/guest through my app. We didn't open an app account through her to avoid that problem and everything has worked fine ever since.

That is exactly what happened the MyDisneyExperienceApp had us as 2 different parties. On one vacation I couldn't enter the park, had to keep going back to the Disney Guest Services. Finally a very smart person who we have run into afterwards and thanked so much figured it out.
No more trying to trick the Mouse on better deals for us. LOL
