My husband is getting into the planning of our trip. He pulled up yelp and read that BOG has one of the highest ratings in Florida! Glad we scored dinner reservations!

That's surprising. The food is good. 4.7 out of 5. But you also get pictures with the Beast. So, I guess that elevates it. Don't forget the gray stuff.

My grandsons love the grey stuff. John is really getting into the planning. Wanting to know restaurants and looking up stuff...I'm impressed! He even is excited that we are going to Coral Reef and "The Norway Restaurant". (He just watched Beauty and the Beast, a few months ago).
I haven't done either the Coral Reef or Akershus Royal Banquet Hall. Probably this year.
Coral Reef is good. My daughter had a shrimp and grits dish that she requested to be done a little differently than described. They did it with no problem. It's funny that we ate seafood while watching sea life swim around us!

And see I've never gotten into BOG restaurant....us locals try to get a reservation for "next week" and ADR has it booked solid still....I'm going to have to pick a date way out and just book it and plan to go.
second star to the right and straight on till morning
Neda and I have been to BOG for dinner the three times we have been down since the restaurant open. We have been lucky enough to get reservations with no problem. We love the food but it is a bit loud especially if you are in the "The Grand Ballroom" because it is so open and a lot of tables. The first time we ate in the Grand Ballroom but under what is suppose to look like a balcony on the outside of the room. Those tables are quieter as lower ceilings and therefore less noise. We have had the braised beef, lamb chops and grilled strip steak, and have never been disappointed.
When you and John (and the rest of the family go), arrive about 10 - 15 minutes early. After you check in, you will then be told to stand on the bridge until your name is called. All-in-all, you will probably have to wait about 20 - 30 minutes but so that your plans don't run tight...if you arrive early, then you only wait about 10 - 15 minutes after your reservation time. I have seen people arrive right at the reservation time and then complain about waiting so long after that time and then it messes up their FP+ for the rest of the night.

I've been there 3 times too. Always the Ballroom. Best area is up against the snowy windows (Quiet).

Our last time was against the snowy windows. That area seems a little more out of the way and Neda liked sitting at the table and staring out the snowy window wishing it was snowy as we were there during Christmastime.
