We were able to use these 3 days when we were there, each time they were very convenient 20$ is more then the regular cab service charges, but for 6 people, its not bad when you are sharing.
We took it to Disney Springs one day Another day we took it to Animal Kingdom The 3rd time we took it to the Polynesian
Each time we made way better time then we would have with the bus. ( understanding we did have to spend $)
Thank you for the review of the service!

These are just too adorable! I would utilize them.
Would you utilize them just because they are "just too adorable" or for the function of getting from one place to another?
Personally I probably wouldn't utilize them cuz they don't mention coming with a car seat for MILO.....but maybe on a trip in October if we were somewhere and wanted to go back to resort .....maybe we could try it out....lol

Disney officially announced this service (no longer a test as previously reported) on July 31, 2017.
Here is part of the quoted announcement from Disney:
"Walt Disney World Resort roadways just got a little more fun, with the launch of a new transportation pilot called Minnie Van service. Announced earlier this month at D23 Expo 2017, this new transportation service is now available for guests staying at Disney’s BoardWalk Resort and Disney’s Yacht & Beach Club Resorts.
Through a collaboration with the US’ fastest growing rideshare service, Lyft, guests at these resorts can arrange their own private Disney vehicle right from the Lyft app on their smartphone. With Minnie Van service, Disney cast members will then whisk you away to wherever you want to be at Walt Disney World Resort. This service accommodates up to six guests and provides two versatile car seats so even the tiniest of passengers can travel in style!
Minnie Van service will be available between 6:30 a.m. and 12:30 a.m. (subject to change). Guests staying at Disney’s BoardWalk Resort and Disney’s Yacht & Beach Club Resorts can learn more by visiting their Bell Services desk."
According to WDW News Today, the Minnie Vans will not show up as an option in the Lyft app unless a cast member has activated them for you, which they will only do if you are staying at one of these three resorts. Once activated for you by a cast member, you should see Minnie Vans as an option when opening the Lyft mobile application (only while on Disney property of course).
Here are some pictures from the app and of the vehicles (courtesy of WDW News Today):
The information handed to guests at the resorts.
If you notice, there is no tipping (tipping is optional) compared to if you use lyft directly. The CM's are paid hourly rates.
These are the Minnie Vans for those guests with with special needs, such as those in wheelchairs or ECVs.
You can use Apple Pay if your choose. The $6.70 show in the above picture is just for authorization as the total charge is $20.00. The flat rate of $20 from point-to-point, including any necessary stops around Walt Disney World you might need to make (i.e. dropping some of the group off at the hotel before the rest of the party goes on to a theme park, or say you need to stop at the Speedway gas station for drinks or some other sundries before returning to the hotel). The Minnie Van drivers can drop guests off at several locations at Disney Springs, not just the designated pick-up and drop-off locations that Uber and Lyft use. This is also the case for many other destinations around Walt Disney World.
A picture of the two cars seats in the Minnie Van Trasverse. To give you a comparison, Uber charges $10.00 surcharge for the car seats while there is no additional charge with the Minnie Van. The cars seats for any small "dwarf" under 2 or over 2 years of age as they travel to see their "princess" or "pirate". The back rows of the vehicle also have UBS charging ports.

Lol, who gets to be strapped to the top? Only holds 6 passengers!

Well I'm the smallest so I guess I volunteer to be strapped to the top......

Starting today, guests at Disney’s Wilderness Lodge, Copper Creek Villas and Cabins, and Boulder Ridge Villas at Wilderness Lodge can now go to the front desk at the resort to activate the service for their use.

Might have to do some Forum research in October...
This service might work for you and John since you are flying down Thursday. I think I have been told that you are staying at AKL so this service might work well for you two. As of August 21st, they had just expanded this Minnie Van service to include AKL. So, as of right now guests as WL, AKL, Yacht and Beach Club, and BoardWalk can use this service. So you could take your Minnie Van from AKL to BoardWalk for Saturday dinner.
