This isn’t bad considering you can go with your own schedule. I was loading the Magical Express bus at 4:00 am to be at the airport at 6:00 to catch my 7:something flight.

I was told that the Minnie Van now has a new price of $15 plus an additional cost of $2.75 per mile. Someone used it from the Contemporary Resort to Animal Kingdom and the price came to $40 plus tip. If my math still works that means AK is ~ 9 miles from the MK if anyone is interested. Also, they are not always available after the fireworks, the wait time can be over 1 hour.
As for the new price, I believe we will wait for the bus, it was a nice idea not being over crowded and wishing I had ear plugs.

Yes the new price structure was announced over the weekend. Since the price is now significantly higher than Uber or Lyft, I expect the Minnie Van service won't be as popular; especially since I have heard some people complain that the old pricing was already $2 - 3.00 higher than the other services.
Disney being Disney...I think they realized how popular is became and now they are trying to make as much money as possible out of the service. Plus, with the new increase in minimal wages for cast members, I think Disney trying to make money some ways while cancelling shows to save money in other ways.

I totally understand everything you just wrote and yes the cast members should make more money.
But, guests must be using the Minnie Vans regardless of the price increase.
I know we cannot afford it, but there has to be an awful lot of very rich guests using this service to keep it going.
Last week as we took the bus back to our resort from the MK I noticed what looked like a Chevy Car Dealer with about 3 dozen SUV's and a full car carrier ready to unload. This was near the old speedway and before the service station. They still had the new car stickers on the windows and were probably waiting to be sent for painting to become the Minnie Van's.
