I was there recently for work and used the Minnie vans 3 times. Its very convenient, a little more expensive than Uber or the regular taxis ( which seem very sparse now) But it was very reliable and the drivers seemed to know all the shortcuts to save time.
To me, if you have a few people and split the bill, this s WAY better than the bus. But even by yourself, I tend to thuink my time on vacation is valuable and i dont like to wait in queues or traffic... if its 20$ and I am there 40 minutes earlier, then I am super happy

I get very impatient if I have to wait too long. Getting to my destination 40 minutes earlier is worth the $20.00, especially when you split the bill. I look forward to using the Minnie vans the next time we are there.

I was told that a tip is required when using the Minnie Van, does anyone know the tip a person should give?
From all the info I have been able to find.....tip is NOT required but is appreciated.
If you notice, there is no tipping (tipping is optional) compared to if you use Lyft directly. The CM's are paid hourly rates. Of course the charge is not $25.00 but this photo was taken from a previous post in this thread when the price was $20.00 at that time.
I have a couple of updates on the Minnie Van service.
Last week, it was report that the Minnie Van service will be expanding with the addition of two new Ford Transit 350 vehicles. These are equipped with a wheelchair lift, similar to the older ADA vehicles, but have a larger interior. While we haven’t seen these in action yet, we anticipate the larger interior might be able to fit two wheelchairs, enabling families with multiple accessibility needs to utilize the service efficiently.
Also, according to Disney World's website, the Minnie Van service is not just for resort guests anymore. It appears that the service is now available to all guests of the Walt Disney World Resort. The website used to state that you had to be a guest at one of the resorts to use this service and that you had to check-in at the Service Desk so that the Cast Member could give access to the app. That part has been taken off the site indicating that the Minnie Van service is now available to everyone.
I actually told WDW they needed to use vans which could take wheel Chairs, scooters and especially the poor handicap people to the parks and not the buses. I did not say anything about charging them for it and think this is terrible if they do. This is something that all guest with a handicap issue which are staying in a Disney Resort should be able to do, each morning or previous night tell the front desk which park they want to visit and the time, then the van would be waiting. Disney can do this for people with issues and it would look like they really care instead of putting them in a crowded bus.
Used the service for the first time this past trip. It was a great fill in for certain legs of the trip. For example we used it to go from the Boardwalk to Ohana for dinner instead of a bus to Magic Kingdom and either Resort Monorail or ferry. We avoided a torrential downpour and got right to the front door of the Poly (before the bus even made it to the Boardwalk) - well worth the $25 (and tip is optional). Added bonus we got to choose the music we wanted and I happily got the background music loop from Old Key West (love the Jimmy Buffet and Bob Marley tunes).

Set to begin on September 1st, 2018, the Minnie Van service will be offered when traveling to Port Canaveral only, with no return trips offered. This is very similar to the airport transportation that the Minnie Vans can currently provided. No information on cost has been provided yet.
