I just read about and watched a clip of some old places at WDW that are now shelved. Like Discovery Island and the third waterpark, River Country. What are your favorite shows, rides or foods that are no longer part of WDW.

20,000 Leagues, Mr Toads Wild Ride, Snow Whites Adventure, and Inside a 12 Years old
second star to the right and straight on till morning
According to a FB ad, there is a company petitioning Disney to let them do a VR archive of the old rides. That might be kind of cool.
Well I think that'd be great but I won't tell my 33 year old son until it happens....I can't crush him again....closing 20,000 Leagues devastated him for years, lol

For me...River Country and 20,000 Leagues. When I was a kid, we went to River Country every time we were down at WDW. I have a lot of fond memories of that place and it is a shame the way it looks now.

No, only heard about them. I would have liked to see how the polynesian beach would look real because of wave laps. it was shut down because of erosion? i think.
Yes, it was shut down due to erosion. I believe if I remember the stories correctly, it only ran for a year before they found out how much erosion it caused. They tried again in 1985 with the machine but got the same results. You can see some of the concrete and metal on the island in the middle the Seven Seas Lagoon that is located between The Polynesian Village and what was suppose to be the Asian Resort (now the Grand Floridan).
I like you, was too young to physically remember it but I remember hearing stories about it and reading about it.
