Does anyone remember these old passes from 1985? They would stamp them upon entering the MK or EPCOT, when you left either park you had your hand stamped so you could return. Cost was $58.50 for an adult and $48.50 for a child. Disney Springs was known as the Villages at Lake Buena Vista.

Here is something I read recently and had no idea it was planned. The buffalo and prairie dogs in living with the land were originally planned to be used in an attraction called The Western River Expedition in the MK, they instead placed the Pirates of the Caribbean there instead.
Here is an article I recently found that goes into more detail about this area of MK that never happened.

in those days of old with the stamped passes, we drove to Florida, stayed outside and had to nickel and dime everything since money was limited. We would break up the stay and spend a few days at the hotel, swimming, shopping the area and relaxing because we would soon be back to work and trying to save enough money to get back to WDW in hopefully 5 years. I will always remember the cast member who stamped the passes questioning us as to why we broke up entering the park for 3 days. We were taken back and really didn't know what to answer except we went elsewhere. This was back in the 80's, today...…..they wouldn't even allow a cast member to question anyone for anything.

second star to the right and straight on till morning
I think there needs to be a behind the scenes tour of what few closed events, etc that are still in mothballs. Some of us newbies would love to see them.

Sounds good to me, bet my son would love for them to dig up the concrete and find 20,000 Leagues Under the Sea still buried underneath where now nearby stands the walkway leading over to Belles Library, etc....lol

I didn’t like that ride, but it shouldn’t have just went away. Kinda sad...

We always liked 20,000 Leagues Under the Sea. It was sad to see it go.
We only took this ride once, then it was a long time before our return trip and nothing was there, it sat empty for such a long time before they finally started to use that area.
Memories of good times always get better as time goes on.
