DVC isn't for everyone....my niece and husband and 9 year old stay a week once a year and last year got FL annual resident passes to spread over last years visit and this years a few weeks before their passes expire.....What they spent that week I told them they could have bought 100 points but they just didn't want the commitment to Vacation there every year
I never knew of DVC til Jan2014. I sold Timeshare 30 years ago at a beach resort near me. DVC is so much better.

If I had gotten David to buy back in '94 I think it was $20 a point back then......not near the $100 a point we bought in at....lol but then again, I have been going to Disney since 1971 when the Magic Kingdom opened

Then maybe I could do DVC but as a resale. We have done several of the big tours already. Does DVC give you any discounts if you do Disney Adventure? We have been looking at doing some of their European river cruises and/or tours.
Prior: Offsite most every other years from 1972 - 2000
Most recent: Offsite 2001 & 2003 / ASM 2006 / Offsite 2009 / Poly 2011 / POR 2013 / CR 2014 / GF 2015 / DS Hotel 2017 / BC 2017 / POR 2018
Has anyone used DVC for a Disney cruise? I was looking at the points & it seems like a lot more than my trip booked in a May for 8 days. Just wondering..was thinking of doing a short 3-4 night cruise

If I was to buy-in, which resort do you recommend?
The only ones selling yet now are at Alunai in Hawaii and Polynesian.....but I think once Cooper Creek Cabins are built at the Wilderness Lodge property I bet that will be the next "new" offering.....sometimes you can buy what someone is willing to sell at an existing contract/resort....but I'm not totally sure how to do that.....think Vacation Club would be the place to ask that question to
